Petgill Lake
Petgill Lake sits across Highway 99 from Browning Lake in Murrin Provincial Park, roughly 10 minutes south of Squamish. The trailhead is about 100 metres north of the Murrin parking lot on the opposite side of the highway, so cross carefully. Tourism Squamish rates it difficult at about 11.5 km and 5 to 7 hours, with chains and fixed ropes on the steep lower section, then a deactivated logging road and forested ridges before the lake. You can swim at the lake or continue about 10 minutes to a Howe Sound viewpoint. Best seasons listed are March through October; dogs must be on leash.
